World Wide Technology to Showcase its Award-Winning Unified Communications Solution at HIMSS
ST. LOUIS (February 26, 2008) – World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, today announced it will showcase its award-winning Unified Communications at the Point of Care (UCPOC) solution at the 2008 HIMSS Conference. Designed specifically for mobile clinical users, WWT's UCPOC healthcare solution provides mobility, voice and presence capabilities within a single durable device useful for both small practices and large medical organizations. The solution will be presented at the Cisco® Systems booth, #6251, Hall D at the 2008 HIMSS conference in Orlando, Fla.

The UCPOC solution is designed for mobile clinical users and integrates mobility, voice, and presence into a single a device. The solution features leading-edge technology from Cisco and Motion Computing. It addresses many business issues that occur daily in the healthcare field, including:
• Providing a 1-1 ratio of devices to clinicians per shift to ensure information access.
• Offering presence status information of a coworker’s availability.
• Ensuring practitioners can maintain eye contact with patients while accessing important medical applications.
• Facilitating the ability to receive and initiate nurse calls to and from patients.
In December, WWT successful introduced UCPOC as a prototype at the 2007 CIPTUG (Cisco IP Telecommunications User Group) conference, an annual forum where the global IP telecommunications community shares ideas, insights, concerns and innovative solutions. The solution earned an award for Best Healthcare Application.
