National Minority Supplier Development Council Honors David Steward for his Commitment to Minority Business Development
St. Louis, Missouri – June 20, 2003 – World Wide Technology (WWT) announced today that David Steward, chairman of World Wide Technology, was among three executives honored by the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council (NMSDC) for their significant long-term achievements in minority business development.
The awards were presented during the NMSDC Leadership Awards Dinner Dance in New York City on May 13th. More than 1,300 people attended including CEOs and executives of Fortune 500 corporations and minority business owners from across the country. Reuben Mark, chairman and chief executive officer of Colgate-Palmolive Company, served as Honorary Chairman for this gala event and Chris Carter, award winning wide receiver, was the Master of Ceremonies.

Mr. Steward serves on numerous committees and boards including Civic Progress of St. Louis, Greater St. Louis Area Council of Boy Scouts of America, United Way of Greater St. Louis and Webster University. Mr. Steward was recently appointed by the governor to the Missouri Technology Corporation.
