World Wide Technology Employee-Run Auction Raises $75,000 for Charity

 

ST. LOUIS (December 20, 2006) –World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, announced today that its annual auction has raised $75,000 for charity. Now in its fifth year, the employee-run auction has generated more than $200,000 to support the efforts of charities throughout the region.

“We are proud to support these charities and their collective mission to serve our community and make a positive impact on the region,” said Joseph G. Koenig, president of WWT. “Our employees' continued generosity and enthusiasm for this charitable event is something truly remarkable. It has always been a part of our mission to give back to the community, but we are especially proud of this employee-run event.”

WWT is dedicated to supporting the community and non-profit organizations. The company’s goal is to bring positive change by supporting these efforts through scholarship awards, youth development, project support and other community activities. Providing leadership through employee involvement and developing long-term relationships in the community is World Wide’s primary focus. Some of the organizations WWT supports include The Ronald McDonald House, St. Louis, United Way Campaign, American Red Cross, St. Patrick Center and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
