State of Missouri Awards World Wide Technology a $110 Million
IT Procurement Contract
ST. LOUIS (October 11, 2006) – World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, today announced it has been award a $110 million IT procurement contract with the state of Missouri, contract number C206026001. The prime vendor procurement mechanism will minimize the state’s administrative efforts, maximize its buying power, and satisfy the varying needs of its end users with a full range of IT products and services.
The state of Missouri invests an estimated $55 million per year in IT products and services. Through this prime vendor procurement mechanism with World Wide Technology, Missouri will leverage its collective purchasing power to obtain the best combination of quality products and services, while saving money and promoting accountability in statewide procurement. In addition to state agencies, this procurement mechanism is open to educational institutions and local governments. The agreement is for two years with renewal options for up to three one-year extensions.
