World Wide Technology Achieves Metro Optical Transport Advanced Technology Provider status in USA from Cisco Systems in the USA.

St. Louis, Missouri – August 1, 2004 – World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT) announced today that it has achieved Metro Optical Transport Advanced Technology Provider (ATP) status from Cisco Systems in the USA effective June 10, 2004. The ATP designation is by invitation only and recognizes WWT for having the ability to provide the core knowledge and skills required to successfully design, deploy and support the Cisco Optical Metro Transport solution.

As a Metro Optical Transport ATP, WWT completed a strategic and focused effort to increase the level of Cisco sales and engineering capabilities within the organization. The ATP designation recognizes WWT for achieving the rigorous Cisco certified personnel levels required for Metro Optical Transport ATP. This designation builds upon the WWTÂ’s success as a Cisco certified Gold Reseller and ensures WWT capabilities of planning, designing, and implementing operational support for complex Cisco optical solutions.

Resource Requirements
In order to be recognized as a Metro Optical Transport ATP, WWT is required to fulfill the following job roles through specific testing requirements: an engagement manager, responsible for Optical Metro Transport sales methodology; and three systems engineers, responsible for planning, design, implementation, and integration to support Optical Metro Transport solutions. WWT has met these requirements

Customer Satisfaction Requirement
In addition to the personnel requirements, WWT must meet strict customer satisfaction requirements. Cisco<92>s customer satisfaction process includes the random survey of partners' customers to obtain a customer satisfaction rating.

Lab Requirement
The Metro Optical Transport ATP program also require WWT to have access to a Cisco Qualified lab to aid in Proof of Concept demonstrations, internal training, and network emulation to simulate actual end user conditions.
