St. Louis, Missouri – November 17, 2004 – World Wide Technology announced today that it now delivers Cisco training as a sponsored organization of Element K, A Cisco Learning Solutions Partner and a leading provider of e-learning solutions for technology and business skills. This sponsorship enables World Wide Technology to join an elite group of Cisco authorized training providers and offer its customers the latest Cisco training, leveraging Cisco proprietary content.
"This sponsorship creates a tremendous advantage for World Wide customers seeking high quality Cisco training. We are pleased that World Wide Technology has aligned with Element K on this initiative, and believe this will help World Wide better serve the St. Louis and government markets," said Doreen Bieryla, Senior Vice President of Element K. "This relationship is part of the Element K philosophy of aligning with Tier 1 partners."
"Offering Cisco training is a natural outgrowth of our commitment to provide complete Cisco solutions to our customers," said Joe Koenig, President of World Wide Technology. "Training and the associated knowledge transfer, especially in new technology areas like Cisco Security, is critical to successful customer implementations."
World Wide will specialize in advanced technology training in areas such as security, IP communications, storage networking and wireless LAN. Courses will be offered by World Wide's Certified Cisco System Instructors (CCSI) in the following categories: CCNA, CCNP, IP Communications, Cisco Security and VPN and General Technology.
Cisco content will be available in multiple formats, including self-study and instructor-led courses, throughout World Wide Technology training facilities. After completing a course, students have an opportunity to apply their acquired knowledge in a real-world environment utilizing Element K's vLab® exercises.
