World Wide Technology Opens World Class Integration Technology Center

ST. LOUIS (August 16, 2006) –  World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, announced today the opening of a 12,000 square foot Integration Technology Center near its corporate headquarters in St. Louis. The company now operates more than 1.5 million square-feet of warehousing, distribution and integration space in 19 facilities throughout the United States.

The Integration Technology Center (ITC) meets the highest industry standards for quality control and inventory management. The highly secure facility features raised-floor data center space, 12 independent networks, redundant and fully conditioned power, over 150 tons of cooling capacity, and a conveyor belt box materials handling system. The facility can simultaneously accommodate servers, laptops, desktops and network components with a total capacity to configure over 30,000 systems per week.

“World Wide Technology is committed to accelerating the technology deployment process and maximizing the ROI our customers achieve from their IT investments,” said Robert Olwig, vice president of business strategy for WWT. “The new St. Louis facility complements our distribution and integration centers across the United States. Our investment in this world class facility demonstrates our on-going commitment to dramatically reducing the complexity and inefficiencies associated with the delivery of technology products.”

The ITC is equipped with the latest technology, enabling WWT’s highly skilled technology professionals to provide a complete array of configuration and integration services including equipment aggregation and staging, hardware configuration, software imaging, end-user profile settings, data migration, rack configuration, asset tagging, and auditing. The facility accommodates WWT’s full suite of advanced logistics, inventory management, and supply chain integration services. It was also designed to address the growing demand in product sales and customer deployments of advanced technology solutions from companies like Cisco® Systems. The ITC significantly enhances WWT’s current Cisco planning and design expertise and its on-site deployment services.

“The staging and configuration capabilities designed into the ITC allow us to address growing demand for Cisco’s Advanced Technology solutions,” said Matt Horner, vice president of professional services for WWT. “As a leading Cisco Gold Partner, the ITC provides a secure and central-U.S. location to stage and integrate network configurations from basic routers and switches to more sophisticated optical devices or VoIP solutions.”
