World Wide Technology Reports Record 2005 Results

Revenue Reaches $1.8 Billion, Marking a 28 Percent Increase from 2004

ST. LOUIS (February 28, 2006) – World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, announced today financial and operational success for 2005. The company’s 2005 revenues reached $1.8 billion, up more than 28 percent from 2004. WWT also expanded its workforce by 44 percent and doubled its office and distribution center space to over 1.3 million square feet nationwide.

“2005 was a year of strong execution for WWT,” said James P. Kavanaugh, chief executive officer for World Wide Technology. “Our financial performance and growth demonstrates WWT’s ability to understand and respond to our customers’ needs in both the private and corporate sectors. Our focus on advanced technologies including IP telephony, security, wireless and enterprise storage helped WWT win market share and maintain its position as leader in the planning, procurement and deployment of IT products and solutions.”

2005 Highlights

  • WWT added over 500 new customers in 2005, including notable organizations such as Key Bank, MCI, Eastman Kodak Company, Defense Contract Management Agency, Camp Victory in Iraq and FEMA.
  • WWT became the sixth largest Cisco Systems partner in the U.S. and the number one federal partner, with sales of $330 million in 2005. The company added over 50 Cisco engineers last year and holds more than 200 Cisco certifications.
  • In addition to Cisco, WWT strengthened relationships with its other strategic partners including Sun, HP and Dell. The company also established new partnerships with Network Appliance, Lenovo and EMC.
  • WWT hired over 300 new employees last year.
  • In 2005 WWT opened or expanded nine facilities in the U.S. The company now has 19 locations and more than 1.3 million square feet of office and distribution space nationwide. WWT’s new facilities can be found in Phoenix, Ariz.; Granite City, Ill.; Earth City, Mo.; Greensboro, N.C.; Westchester, Ohio; and Virginia Beach, Va. It expanded facilities in Compton, Calif.; Nashville, Tenn.; and Austin, Texas.
  • WWT opened its Phoenix facility as a major sales and service operation to accommodate the growing demand for the company’s services in the Southwest region.
  • WWT enhanced its back office operations with major upgrades to its Comergent eCommerce application and the successful implementation of supply chain collaboration software from ClearOrbit.
