EMPLOYEE'S HOLIDAY AUCTION RAISES $30,961 FOR THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE
St. Louis, Missouri – January 13, 2003 – World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT) announced today that it is 2nd Annual Employee Holiday Auction raised $30,961 for the St. Louis Ronald McDonald House (RMH). This donation came solely through the efforts of WWT’s 250 St. Louis based employees. To raise the money, employees created departmental teams and then competed against each other to raise the most money for donation to the RMH.
"We are extremely proud of our employees' generous and charitable spirit. It has always been part of World Wide Technology's mission to contribute to our community, but coming directly from our employees is truly inspiring – especially during the holidays" remarked Jim Kavanaugh, CEO of World Wide Technology.
"We are so fortunate to have wonderful friends like those at World Wide Technology," said Dan Harbaugh, Executive Director of the RMH, "whose efforts make such an incredible impact in our ability to help take care of families of sick friends." The Ronald McDonald House is dedicated to providing a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at local hospitals.
