World Wide Technology Spins-off Its Staffing Services Business
Opens Door to Independence for Minority Firm
St. Louis, Missouri – November 3, 2004 – World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), today announced it has spun off its staffing and program management services business into a new and independent entity, SDE Business Partnering. The new company, headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, will be owned and operated by Charles Young, former vice president of WWT's automotive industry sales group.
Today's spin-off demonstrates World Wide's renewed focus on its strategic core competencies as well as its dedication to creating opportunities for minority-owned businesses through our mentoring program, said Joe Koenig, president of World Wide Technology. We believe that by establishing WWT and SDE as two separate companies, we will enhance the potential for success of both businesses and, as a result, increase customer value.
