About Tom
As the Leader of Federal business development for World Wide Technology, Tom is responsible to develop a comprehensive plan addressing Federal market strategies. Assess current strategy and programs to provide short and long-term business objectives. Collaborating with the Teams specific to the go to market, hiring, business develop plans and Federal systems Integrator coverage. Expanding OEM partnerships and develop strategic partnerships that maximize the WWT customer value.
Previously Tom was with NetApp for over thirteen years. He held multiple positions at NetApp, successfully transitioning from a Pathways Sales Representative to a Direct Sales Manager, Regional Director and the Leader of Federal. As the Senior Director of NetApp Federal and interim President and CEO of NetApp US Public Sector Inc., Tom was responsible for the entire U.S. Federal market which included Defense, Civilian, National Security, and Systems Integrators. In this role he managed the field alignment of sales, engineering, channel, program capture, and marketing team members dedicated to the creation and execution of NetApp’s Go-To-Market strategy. Tom and his team served the mission and the unique data management needs of today’s government. Tom’s leadership was an influential part of the NetApp Federal position and growth in U.S. Public Sector.
Prior to joining NetApp, Tom was with Sun Microsystems as an Account Executive focused on the public sector and enterprise markets. He has more than 20 years of experience within the IT Industry.
