As more organizations lean into AI, immersive applications, and real-time collaboration, the bar for wireless networks has never been higher. We're seeing more devices, more critical applications, and far less tolerance for performance and reliability issues. That's where Wi-Fi 7 comes in—delivering higher throughput, lower latency, and more consistent performance than previous generations.

Organizations are clearly paying attention. According to the World Broadband Alliance, Wi-Fi 7 is expected to be the most widely deployed Wi-Fi technology in 2026.1 The takeaway is simple: organizations want to start standardizing on Wi-Fi 7, but they need options that align to different use cases and budgets.

To help our customers meet their evolving connectivity needs by leveraging the power of Wi-Fi 7, HPE is rounding out our Wi-Fi 7 access point (AP) portfolio with the addition of the Juniper AP27 High-Performance Access Point. With the introduction of the AP27, HPE is providing even more flexibility and choice, enabling our customers to select the right AP for their specific needs and budget, without having to compromise.

The AP27 is an entry-level indoor Wi-Fi 7 access point that delivers faster, more reliable connectivity at a price point that makes sense for broader rollouts. It's designed for organizations who want the benefits of Wi-Fi 7 without worrying about over buying.

The AP27 features:

  • Tri-band concurrent Wi-Fi 7 for improved capacity and performance
  • A dedicated fourth radio for continuous security monitoring, RF optimization, and network assurance—without impacting client traffic
  • A form factor and feature set well suited for branch offices, campus environments, and general enterprise deployments

For organizations with more specialized coverage requirements—such as warehouses or freezer/cooler environments—the AP27E variant offers the same capabilities with support for external antennas.

The AP27 rounds out our portfolio of Wi-Fi 7 APs, giving organizations the ability to standardize on Wi-Fi 7 across different environments while maintaining architectural consistency and reducing operational complexity.

The current lineup includes:

  • AP47/AP47D/AP47E—Premium indoor Wi-Fi 7 AP for the most demanding environments and advanced location use cases
  • AP37—Performance indoor Wi-Fi 7 AP for demanding use cases and location-based services via vBLE
  • AP36/AP36M— Performance indoor Wi-Fi 7 AP for demanding use cases
  • AP27/AP27E—Value Wi-Fi 7 AP for cost-effective performance and flexibility
  • AP17—Wall-plate Wi-Fi 7 AP for space-constrained environments like hospitality, education, healthcare, and retail
  • AP66/AP66D—Ruggedized indoor/outdoor Wi-Fi 7 AP for challenging and harsh environments

Enabling self-driving Wi-Fi 7 networks with HPE Mist

As important as the hardware is, the real differentiation comes from how our APs are deployed and managed. Every Juniper Wi-Fi 7 AP, including the AP27, enables a truly AI-native approach to wireless networking. Instead of relying on static configurations and reactive troubleshooting, HPE Mist continuously learns from real-world telemetry and optimizes the network automatically.

The power of the HPE Mist platform is unleashed with Juniper Wi-Fi Assurance, which replaces manual troubleshooting tasks with automated wireless operations. This subscription service makes Wi-Fi predictable, reliable, and measurable with unique visibility into user service levels.

With HPE Mist, you can:

  • Proactively detect and resolve issues before users are impacted
  • Automate the manual effort required to tune RF, troubleshoot problems, and analyze performance
  • Continuously optimize the network based on actual client behavior and application usage
  • Scale operations more efficiently while keeping IT firmly in control

The end result is a wireless network that is adaptive, intelligent, and grows increasingly autonomous over time.
