Segment Routing and SD-WAN are technologies that have gained traction over the last decade. They both serve to solve different problems, and we dispel the mystery around these two solutions. In this TEC37, we discuss the current state of the technology and how to stay at the forefront of its evolution and adoption. We explore the use cases and industries for both and how they can coexist and even complement each other.

Mike has 25 years of networking experience. He previously worked for Cisco Systems as a Solutions Architect, and obtained his IOS XR Expert Certification and achieved his CCIE Certification (#9358). At WWT, Mike focuses on MPLS, Segment Routing, and SDN technologies on both Cisco and Juniper platforms and has his JNCIS-SP Certification. He is currently working with customers to expand the reach of MPLS and Segment Routing, including SR-MPLS and SRv6 in all markets including the Public Sector.
