ST. LOUIS and SAN ANTONIO – October 11, 2011 – World Wide Technology, Inc.(WWT), a market-leading systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, today announced that it will demo its Mobile Data Center (MDC) at the GEOINT 2011 Symposium. Engineered for extreme flexibility and portability, the self-contained unit is a powerful, low-cost alternative to traditional brick-and-mortar data center facilities, and features integrated computing, storage, networking, power and cooling systems designed and optimized to meet an organization's unique IT needs.
The MDC is part of WWT's Flexible, Adaptable, Solutions and Technology (FAST) portfolio that includes half rack self-contained units, containerized solutions ranging from 10' to 53' and modular buildings. The portfolio addresses nearly any IT requirement, from emergency management in harsh deployments (exploration, gas, oil and military), disaster recovery and business continuity planning, to command-and-control centers and even retrofit environments where architectural confines do not allow for expansion or upgrades to existing infrastructure.The autonomous units can be deployed quickly via truck, rail, air or sea and bring true mobility to fully functional and secure data centers.
While most competitive solutions force organizations to put IT equipment into a standardized 19" rack, WWT's FAST MDC caters to the evolving high-density equipment environment with features such as a unique rail system and mounting methodology. Such flexibility expands IT equipment options and facilitates easy access without additional space or equipment to service the racks. And, to ensure zero-downtime, WWT pre-stages and fully tests all components before deployment.

On display at the GEOINT Symposium will be the MIL-STD FAST MDC-20. The FAST MDC-20 has been purpose built to address austere environments and portability meeting MIL-STD-810G requirements for shock and vibration. The unit will be located near the front entrance of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas during show hours from October 16-19. WWT will also be exhibiting at the GEOINT 2011 Symposium in booth number 934.
