Programmability and Automation Meetup: An Introduction to Juniper Apstra

Juniper Apstra is an intent-based networking platform that simplifies and automates data center fabrics for most sizes and vendors. In this session, Jeff Doyle from Juniper Networks demonstrated how Apstra automates a data center fabric's design, build, deployment, and day two operations.

Juniper SSR SD-WAN Foundation Lab

The Juniper SSR SD-WAN Foundations Lab is a capability of the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) designed to showcase the concept of a Juniper Session Smart Network and demonstrates how it functions in a real-world scenario. The environment that supports the lab is completely virtual, removing any hardware dependencies associated with physical infrastructure.

Juniper Apstra

Apstra is an orchestrator that behaves much like Cisco DCNM/CNDFC or Arista CVP. The ultimate differentiator is that Apstra works well with all the major switch manufacturers. And in many cases, the Apstra on-box agent enhances the native abilities of the switch error and misconfiguration reporting via deduplication and with depth and granularity of telemetry. In addition, the on-box agent aids in scaling complex expansive networks. With Intent-Based Networking (IBN), throughout a network's design, deployment, and operational phases, Apstra maintains its user's blueprint by converting it to the vendor-specific instructions each switch needs without requiring the user to have even a low level of knowledge about a particular vendor's switch. The Apstra flow across these phases ensures a closed-loop, single source of truth system.

Juniper SSR SD-WAN

Juniper's SD-WAN solution offers a unique approach to networking with Secure Vector Routing, transforming the way the edge devices communicate across the WAN. This Learning Path is designed to equip users with the fundamental knowledge to stand up, program, and operate a Juniper SD-WAN Fabric.

Juniper SDN Networking

Juniper SDN and Contrail Networking provide centralized control that allows the ability to configure the network from a central management pane. With a centralized controller, external applications can treat the network as a single entity that provides configuration Application Programming Interfaces (API) to the outside world. An SDN enabled network with the centralized control plane can be much simpler and therefore cheaper. Additionally, SDN enables a much faster spin up of services for enterprises and service providers which can significantly decrease go-to-market time for new applications and architectures. SDN also has the capability to provide analytics for in-depth troubleshooting and real-time monitoring of traffic.
