Exploring S7-1500 Factory IO Component Lab

Welcome to the Exploring S7-1500 Factory IO Component Lab. This lab will walk you through step-by-step to writing your first PLC Program. You will create your first project in Siemens TIA Portal and see the results in Factory IO. Factory IO is an industrial Virtual Reality (VR) simulation where you can see the changes you make in the PLC logic be reflected in the VR environment. 

The concepts gained in this lab will be applied in more advanced simulations in other labs and learning paths.

• Create a new project in TIA Portal v19
• Create new PLC instance in PLC SIM Advanced
• Compile and Transfer new project to Virtual PLC (vPLC)
• Create a new project in Factory IO using conveyor belts
• Build logic in vPLC to control Factory iO conveyor belts
• Monitor logic and operations of vPLC
