Fortinet NGFW Foundations Lab

The Fortinet Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) Foundations Lab is a capability of the ATC designed to provide an environment to gain hands on experience with the Fortinet NGFW solution. The environment that supports the Fortinet NGFW Foundations Lab is completely virtual, removing any hardware dependencies associated with physical infrastructure.

The purpose of the lab guide is to help you develop proficiency using the Fortinet NGFW solution. By the end of the lab you should gain enough knowledge to begin applying these technologies to your own use cases. The lab guide is divided into modules based on core concepts being covered. 

The modules included in this version are:

• Initial Configuration
• Policy & Objects 
• Security Profiles

This lab consists of virtual firewalls and workstations hosted in vCloud in our Advanced Technology Center.

• 5 FortiGate Firewalls
• 3 c8000v Routers
• Windows AD Server
• Windows 2k16 Azure Server
• 4 Windows 10 VMs
• 2 Linux VMs acting as cloud providers
