Kraig Ecker leads World Wide Technology’s Global Service Provider organization, which enables service providers to deliver next-generation technology platforms through WWT’s idea to outcome-based approach and global fulfillment capabilities. As Senior Vice President, Kraig has leveraged his deep industry expertise and relationships with executive-level Fortune 500 accounts to remarkable growth, taking our Service Provider business from $1.5B to over 86% growth, with investment in the Emerging Service Providers. Today, WWT’s entire Service Provider business is $4.7 billion of the company’s total $11.4 billion. 


Kraig spearheaded WWT’s effort to move into more of a software/hardware integrator role to be well-positioned to support customers’ deployment of software-based 5G services. Kraig has identified 5G infrastructure as one of the company’s most important investment areas for 2019, calling 5G “a once in a generation technology that will drive innovation for the next 10 to 15 years.” 


Today, WWT’s GSP business includes the Communication Service Providers, Carrier and Cloud Providers, Multi-Service Operators and Media Operators, as well as a spinoff distribution business called Telcobuy, which remains a wholly-owned subsidiary of World WideTechnology Holding Company.  Under Kraig’s leadership, WWT’s GSP Teams have been recognized as best in class industry partners, with the business receiving partner of the year awards from both Cox Communications and Vodafone. 


Kraig joined WWT in 2012 and has more than 20 years of experience with leading hardware and software technology companies. He began his career as a data technician in the U.S. Navy, for which he served four years. He then spent 12 years with Cisco and was part of a small group of employees that helped Cisco, EMC and VMware launch VCE, a manufacturer of converged infrastructure appliances founded as Acadia. 


Kraig and his wife, Angie, live in St. Louis and have two children (Andrew and Ava).
