Thomas brings 14+ years of expertise in the biopharmaceutical industry to WWT. He has a strong track record as both a bench biologist and data scientist focused on discovering and developing new therapeutics from first hypothesis to clinical trial. With a unique ability to bridge the gap between scientists and technologists, he plays a critical role in translating complex R&D challenges into innovative technological solutions, supporting the pre-sales pipeline and broader research initiatives among our customers in the pharmaceutical industry. Holding a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a B.S. in Finance, Thomas combines scientific depth with a strategic mindset. He has built computational teams and resources from scratch, developed machine learning approaches to identify vulnerabilities in cancer, and provided analytical support to experts at every level of the drug research and development pipeline. His achievements span contributions to public research consortia, inventions and patents for novel drugs and combination therapies, and development of data science strategies that advanced molecules into medicines.
