The Spark Behind the Strategy: A Chat with CDA Leaders
Ever wonder what's really driving the magic behind our biggest initiatives? This blog pulls back the curtain with a candid interview from two of our Client Development Leaders—sharing bold ideas, behind-the-scenes stories and the passion fueling our programs.
At WWT, our Client Development team plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of customer-facing professionals. Through mentorship, hands-on experience and a culture of continuous learning, we're building a pipeline of talent ready to lead with confidence and purpose. As our program grows, we're energized by the diverse backgrounds and fresh perspectives our new team members bring.
Lindsey Harrison- Team Lead
I often joke that I'm still figuring out what I want to be when I grow up. My career has spanned multiple industries and roles, and while it might look like a winding path, each experience has added to a unique skill set that's guided me forward—one step at a time.
Mentorship has always been a passion, going back to my college days with College Mentors for Kids and Juntos in Indianapolis. Today, I'm lucky enough to call that passion my profession.
I started at WWT in business development, diving headfirst into the business and building relationships across regions, partners, and customers. It was a whirlwind of travel and growth, but with a growing family, I was ready for a role with less travel and more impact.
That's when I found client development—a perfect fit that lets me apply my sales and BD experience while supporting our rising stars from the Associate Academy.
Lauren Epley- Strategic Projects
I kicked off my career at WWT right after college as an Administrative Assistant in Application Services (now part of Technical Delivery & Engineering), then transitioned into Marketing, where I organized Executive Briefings and large-scale events. Over nearly six years, I gained a deep understanding of WWT's ecosystem—working with leadership, account teams, partners, and engineers across regions.
That experience helped me find my voice, build confidence, and develop a strong foundation in time management and organization—especially while managing 15–20 events at a time. It also sparked my passion for project management and opened the door to client development.
I was drawn to the energy of a growing team and the chance to help shape something new. Leadership gave me that opportunity, even without a traditional sales background. Today, as a CDA focused on Strategic Initiatives, I get to blend my marketing, admin, and event experience to drive innovation and support impactful programs across WWT.
Lindsey Harrison
I was lucky to start my sales career in a strong training program (at a different company and industry), and I'm excited to bring some of those best practices to WWT as we build a world-class client development program.
More business leaders are recognizing the value of the client development program and want to add CDAs to their teams. Having helped launch new departments and initiatives throughout my career, I'm looking forward to supporting our CDAs as they expand into new channels and seize fresh opportunities.
Lauren Epley
As part of this team, I'm passionate about supporting early-career professionals and career changers. I see incredible potential in our CDAs and am focused on enhancing training and programs that help them grow and thrive. Long-term, I'm excited to contribute to initiatives that promote continuous learning, career advancement, and cross-team collaboration. The Client Development program is full of possibilities—and I'm proud to help shape its future.
