Enhancing Army Conferencing Readiness Through Automation and Centralized Management With VQ CM/DMA
Event Overview
This session, provides an overview of VQ Conference Manager with Device Management Automation (DMA) in preparation for the introduction of native Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) on Cisco video devices in Army Microsoft 365 DoD environments. As Army organizations transition from USB passthrough–based conferencing workflows to native MTR experiences, new operational requirements emerge around device activation, certificate management, RoomOS maintenance, and large-scale endpoint operations—all within IL5 constraints where commercial cloud management platforms are not authorized. The session focuses on how VQ Conference Manager with DMA, available through the Army GEMSS Voice and Video enterprise agreement, enables centralized, scalable management of Cisco video devices supporting MTR, helping Army teams reduce administrative burden and maintain operational readiness as capabilities evolve.
