Everpure FlashArray - FA Files Lab

The Everpure (formerly Pure Storage) FlashArray is a Unified Storage Platform offering Block and File Services. Purity//FA 6.6 continues to mature the File Services offering and supports replication to another FlashArray target via ActiveDR. 

In this lab, you will walk through the simple configuration to configure FA Files on a FlashArray along with setting up replication to a second FlashArray through both the GUI and the CLI.  You will also have the option to go through some DR scenarios to see how simple it is to failover/fail-back your file shares along with self-service file and folder level restores.

In this lab users will gain a general understanding of the Everpure FlashArray File Services capabilities by performing the following activities: 

• Initial setup and configuration of a File System and managed directories on a FlashArray.
• Move the File System into a POD and configure replication to a second FlashArray.
• Create Snapshot and Quota policies and attach to managed directories and File Systems.
• Run through common Failure scenarios to see how FA Files works and the options for testing a failover, perform an actual failover and performing a fail back of the File System.

• Two Pure Storage FlashArrays running Purity//FA 6.6.x
• Windows Server (Jumpbox, AD/DNS)
• Linux Server
