ST. LOUIS–World Wide Technology (WWT), a market-leading technology solution provider, today celebrated the official opening of its new global headquarters. Located in Maryland Heights' Westport Plaza, the new facility stands seven stories tall, spans 208,000 square feet and is brimming with cutting-edge technology.

"This is an exciting time for WWT and marks a huge milestone for the company, its employees, customers and the community who will all benefit from the expansion," said CEO Jim Kavanaugh. "We wanted to build a smart office focused on physical and virtual collaboration, and it's inspiring to see people using different workspaces and technologies to connect and innovate in new ways."

As one of the area's largest privately owned businesses and largest employers, WWT designed the headquarters with a focus on the community. To aid in the revitalization of Westport Plaza, the lower level features adjacent terraces designed to host public events. The entire facility is also LEED-certified, underscoring the company's commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen.

The new space reflects WWT's innovative company goals and focuses on continuing to make WWT an award-winning employer, as recognized by the "2017 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For." The facility features state-of-the-art technologies, including a 300-seat auditorium with a 51-foot by 12-foot LED screen, one of the largest in North America.

In honor of the opening, WWT is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new headquarters, where guests can hear remarks from company executives, view an outdoor drone demonstration and tour the new facilities. WWT chairman and co-founder David Steward and St. Louis Archbishop Robert Carlson will be among those in attendance.
