World Wide Technology (WWT) held a ribbon cutting event in Springfield, Mo. just a few months ago for its new 5,700 sq. ft. office. Currently, the company has 23 high-tech employees, with plans to grow to over 50 (or more) employees. The employees are well connected in the tech community, sponsoring and presenting at a number of high-tech meet-ups and acting as thought leaders for tech/innovation in the community.

“Missouri is poised for growth in the tech sector as companies like World Wide Tech realize they can connect with talent all over the state,” said Missouri’s Acting Director of Economic Development Rob Dixon. “Cities like Springfield are welcoming this burgeoning industry and creating new high-paying jobs for Missouri families.”

“Missouri offers many of the best and brightest minds in the tech industry,” said Bob Elfanbaum, WWT Vice President of Product Development. “Our new satellite office in Springfield allows us tap into a well of creativity and opportunity from across the state, contributing to cutting edge software solutions for the world’s leading Fortune 500 companies.”

“[WWT] is one of many companies to take advantage of being part of the growing technology sector in downtown Springfield,” said the President of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Matt Morrow. “This location in the heart of the IDEA Commons district seeks to take advantage of knowledge-based workers and to be a part of an ecosystem supportive of technology and entrepreneurship.”

WWT specializes in application development, mobile computing, systems and sensor integration, enterprise architecture, and tactical collaboration. Its diverse client base includes commercial, non-profit, and government organizations. They’ve delivered solutions ranging from back-end government middleware to front-end applications and full-scale, commercial cloud infrastructures. In short, they connect people, sensors, information, and systems.
