'Branch of the Future' Simplifies Enterprise Network Infrastructure, Addresses Business and IT Challenges

ST. LOUIS — March 1, 2018 — World Wide Technology (WWT), a market-leading technology solution provider, today announced a new managed services offering for software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN). Branch of the Future, a World Wide Technology Managed Service, helps enterprises innovate and respond to change by simplifying their network operations. The new offering builds on Cisco Meraki™, a cloud managed architecture that is used to deploy, configure, manage and monitor Wi-Fi, routing, and security appliances in branch office locations. WWT's managed services offering is tailored to distributed enterprises across various industries, including healthcare, retail and financial services, to address the unique business and technology challenges they increasingly face. These challenges include lack of business metric visibility and poor customer experience, a need to grow and innovate with the latest technology faster despite a lack of in-house IT expertise, difficulty providing IT needs for remote locations, real-time insight into customers' in-store online activities, and a need to focus on the core business.

"World Wide Technology is proud once again to be putting innovation to work for our customers by developing and delivering a highly customized managed services solution, which provides data-driven, personalized customer experiences that drive revenue and capture operational efficiencies," said Brian Ortbals, vice president, WWT Advanced Technology. "This solution capitalizes on WWT's proven understanding of the issues enterprises encounter and helps them address these issues to enable rapid success."

WWT's offering leverages Thelios, WWT's enterprise network engagement suite, to provide greater data visibility for marketing and IT departments, accentuate the customer and employee experience and decrease the cost and time to setup the Meraki network for large-scale enterprise deployments, reducing hours to minutes. The offering also provides ease of installation and implementation in branch office locations, in an outsourced model with 24/7/365 proactive monitoring and management, while improving operations and driving business innovation.

Thelios is a WWT Application Services innovation that extends the Meraki foundation API to create a full-service suite of customized solutions that amplify existing investments in wireless networks for every department of an organization, from customer engagement teams to network engineering organizations.

"Front-to-back, no one knows our APIs better than WWT," said Todd Nightingale, senior vice president and general manager, Cisco Meraki. "They make it very simple."
