The Cisco Live event running this week in Las Vegas is a showcase for Cisco to show off its' latest and greatest innovations. Cisco Live is also an opportunity for Cisco's partners (and competitors) to announce new gear and services as well.

1. Opengear

Infrastructure management vendor Opengear announced its new Lighthouse 5 release. Lighthouse is a centralized platform for out-of-band IT infrastructure management.

"The demands for faster infrastructure management, more efficient issue resolution, and automatic provisioning of infrastructure continue to escalate," Marcio Saito, CTO, Opengear, said in a statement. "With the release of Lighthouse 5, Opengear is proud to offer a complete solution for quickly and remotely accessing network equipment regardless of physical location, the network intelligence required to troubleshoot and automatically remediate network disruptions, and the tools to automate the configuration and enrollment process for new devices at scale."

2. Actiance

Actiance announced a new integration with Cisco's Webex teams collaboration platform, enabling organization to apply compliance controls to content.

"Cisco Webex teams is among the most secure and reliable cloud collaboration tools used by organizations today," Anthony West, Chief Technology Officer at Actiance, stated. "With over a decade of experience in capture, data loss prevention, and active compliance for real-time communications, Actiance supports the needs of its customers who also require communications capture, real-time governance, cloud archival, and context-preserved eDiscovery."

3. NetBrain

NetBrain used Cisco Live as the venue to announced and demonstrate its Integrated Edition 7.0 automation platform. The new release includes improved data visualization and scalability.

"NetBrain Integrated Edition employs a map as a single pane of glass by putting important data and insights at the fingertips of network and security teams in a visual format, minimizing reliance on the command-line interface and disparate network management tools," Lingping Gao, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NetBrain Technologies, said. "Through our platform and its ability to integrate with third-party solutions, enterprises can now enhance their IT workflows with greater visibility and automation, allowing them to quickly diagnose network problems and security threats in real-time."

4. WWT

Technology integrator World Wide Technology (WWT) announced its new EA+ services program at Cisco Live.

"EA+ is a complete rethinking of how enterprise agreements work," said Dean Romero, practice director for software and lifecycle services at WWT. "Instead of just being a pricing tool, we've turned it into an asset that delivers business outcomes. Speed, simplicity and innovation can be achieved if you utilize the right approach to your software."
