October 2025: In the second year of JAC's Scope 3 Supplier Engagement Programme (SEP), JAC introduced Recognition Badges for suppliers to recognise their action in managing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. These include "Committed to Climate" badges for suppliers who have improved significantly and "Climate Award" badges for suppliers who have achieved high standards of carbon management as part of our SEP maturity assessment.

World Wide Technology is among the suppliers which achieved the Committed to Climate Badge (awarded to 27 suppliers who have improved their overall maturity significantly versus the prior year).

The JAC Scope 3 Supplier Engagement Programme (SEP) is a collaborative engagement programme aimed at assessing and improving the maturity of ICT suppliers in managing their Greenhouse Gas emissions.

Based on assessment of Joint Alliance for CSR (JAC) member Scope 3 carbon footprints, the SEP programme targets the 500-1,000 most significant suppliers each year across the Tier 1 ICT supply chain.

In 2025, 734 companies were assessed and segmented into a 5-level maturity model. During June and July 2025, four webinars were held for over 200 webinar registrants with the objective of building capability of the suppliers through sharing best practices.

Webinars were customised by supplier maturity levels and sectors, and included topics such as:

  • Setting science-based emissions reduction targets
  • Scope 1, 2 and 3 reduction levers
  • Fleet decarbonisation and electric vehicle (EV) pilot projects
  • Linking Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) to organisational decarbonisation
  • The value of stakeholder engagement and industry collaboration in managing emissions.
SEP Maturity Assessment Methodology

Suppliers were selected for recognition based on their scores within the SEP Maturity Model. Suppliers are scored based on GHG emissions-related attributes across four categories:

1. Strategy
2. Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV)
3. Emissions Reduction
4. Communication and Engagement
