With a background spanning enterprise architecture, cloud modernization, and pre-sales engineering, Waheed brings a unique blend of strategic advisory and hands-on execution expertise. His focus areas include multicloud architecture, Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) development, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Financial Operations (FinOps), and governance-driven cloud transformation. Prior to joining WWT, Waheed served as a Cloud Enterprise Architect supporting federal agencies, including ARPA-H, where he developed cloud strategy aligned with FISMA requirements and NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes. His experience includes security control selection and implementation (NIST 800-53), FedRAMP-aligned cloud deployments, Authorization to Operate (ATO) lifecycle support, and embedding Zero Trust principles in accordance with CISA’s Zero Trust Maturity Model. Waheed has designed secure, scalable architectures that balance modernization velocity with compliance rigor — ensuring systems are resilient, continuously monitored, and defensible from both operational and audit perspectives.
