The FBI called him a "Devious bastard." And with that, it led him to become a subject matter expert for the FBI in industrial control systems and cybersecurity. Jim received specialized training from DoD, DHS, DoE, and the FBI. He is a FEMA Cyberterrorism First Responder. He authored and then presented, on several occasions, a course on industrial control systems and cybersecurity to the US Army Cyber Command, and as such, some of the Warrant Officers that he instructed were deployed to Ukraine, ahead of the current action. He has been working in operational technology for about 40 years (way before it was called that) and has about 20 years of experience in cybersecurity.
