Common mistakes?

What are some common mistakes you folks see customers make or even that we (wwt) made starting down the path of automation that ultimately made life harder than it needed to be? There are always lessons learned or "if I only knew then" findings as you head down any new journey. Would love to read about some that could help others from making the same mistakes.
