Cyera Foundations Lab

The Cyera Foundations Lab is a capability of the Advanced Technology Center (ATC). It is designed to provide an environment to gain hands-on experience with the fundamental features of the Cyera Data Security  solution. The environment that supports this lab is completely virtual, removing any hardware dependencies associated with physical infrastructure.

This lab environment is accessed through Cyera's cloud-based dashboard, which is connected to an Amazon AWS environment containing various types of data that Cyera has classified.

Goal

• To demonstrate how Cyera's cloud-native data security platform discovers, classifies, and protects sensitive data within a connected AWS environment.

Objectives

• By the end of this lab, participants will be able to:
• Navigate the Cyera dashboard to view connected data stores and classification results.
• Identify sensitive data types such as PCI, PII, and PHI across cloud environments.
• Detect potential compliance violations, including GDPR misalignments and data residency issues.
• Understand how Cyera correlates identities and access to sensitive data for risk prioritization.
• Explore real-world use cases, including credential exposure, over-permissioned access, and encryption gaps.
