Infinera Intelligent Pluggable Manager (IPM) Lab

Infinera's Intelligent Pluggable Manager (IPM) is a GUI-based platform for managing and monitoring ICE-X XR transceivers and Network Demarcation Units (NDUs) within a network. It provides control of the optical transport layer, enabling streaming telemetry, dynamic bandwidth allocation, and visibility into optical parameters such as power levels and wavelengths from a host-agnostic, centralized location.

This lab utilizes Cisco 8201 routers as host devices for multiple 400G and 100G ICE-X XR optics, which are managed by IPM.

This lab is meant to introduce users to Infinera's Intelligent Pluggable Manager (IPM) and how to navigate through it and its applications.

The User will learn to

• Navigate IPM
• Use IPM to monitor hosts and modules.
