NetBrain Essentials for Network Operations

NetBrain is a WEB, API-based network operations platform that helps you visualize, automate, document,  troubleshoot, and remediate your network using live data and interactive maps.

In this Learning Path, you'll explore how NetBrain delivers:

Behind the scenes, NetBrain turns live device data into a dynamic, map-driven source of truth and automates the work around it using dynamic maps, intents, and runbooks. It automatically discovers multi-vendor networks, builds role-aware topologies and real-time traffic paths, and normalizes configurations and telemetry into a consistent data model, allowing your team to troubleshoot faster, standardize operations, and reduce risk.

By the end of the lab, you'll know how to use NetBrain not just to see your network, but to continuously validate it and accelerate troubleshooting with repeatable, map-driven automated workflows.

In this lab, you'll progress through four modules:

Module 1 – Network Discovery & Dynamic Mapping
Automatically discover a multi-vendor network and build live, dynamic maps that show real-time topology, paths, and device details in a single view.

Module 2 – No-Code / Low-Code Automation with Network Intent
Turn day-to-day troubleshooting steps into reusable "intents" so you can run consistent diagnostics with a click—no scripting required (but extensible if you want to).

Module 3 – Assessment & Standardization with Golden Engineering Studio
Define what "good" looks like, then continuously assess devices against your golden designs and configurations to catch drift before it becomes an outage.

Module 4 – Rule Discovery, Golden Intent, Scheduler & Dashboarding
Discover config rules from live devices, standardize them as Golden Intents, schedule ongoing checks, and visualize results in dashboards for proactive monitoring.
