Netskope Private Access and Secure Web Gateway
Solution overview
Netskope's SWG (Secure Web Gateway) is a network security solution designed to monitor and control user access to the web, protect against web-based threats, and enforce security policies. Since most modern traffic and solutions are cloud-based, it's more important than ever to have strong browser-based protection. The SWG acts as a firewall for web traffic, not only controlling which sites users can visit, but also the actions users take on those sites, which users have what permissions, and more. In addition to the SWG, Netskope's Private Access allows access to secure resources without the use of traditional VPNs. It applies zero trust principles to give users secure, direct connections to private applications, whether those apps live in a data center, a private cloud, or a public cloud, without ever placing them on the corporate network. In this lab, we will see both in action, then review their configuration, and finally look at the associated generated alerts.
