Prompt Engineering Lab

This lab focuses on mastering prompt engineering through the prompt blueprint, a structured approach for creating effective prompts.
The lab is divided into two main parts:

• Hardcoded Exercises: Demonstrate how adding blueprint elements—such as task, context, constraints, persona, format, and tone—progressively improves responses.
• Open-Ended Exercises: Allow participants to experiment with different blueprint elements and customize prompts for real-world scenarios.

By the end, learners will understand how each blueprint component influences output quality and will gain hands-on experience applying these principles.

Participants will:

• Learn the purpose and structure of the prompt blueprint.
• Complete exercises that progressively introduce blueprint elements:
  • Define a clear Task.
  • Add Context to guide relevance.
  • Introduce Constraints to focus responses.
  • Apply Personas for tailored tone and expertise.
  • Specify Output Format for usability.
  • Adjust Tone & Style for audience alignment.
• Experiment with creating and refining prompts in open-ended scenarios.
• Understand how combining these elements improves clarity, precision, and usefulness of AI outputs.
