Virtualization in Kubernetes with KubeVirt

Solution overview

In this lab you will work on an existing multi-node Kubernetes cluster and turn it into a platform capable of hosting virtual machines alongside containers. You will install and configure KubeVirt and its supporting components, then walk through several ways virtual machines come to life: pulled from a cloud image, installed from an ISO, and migrated from an existing hypervisor. Along the way you will exercise the operational realities of virtualization on Kubernetes — storage for VM disks, external access to VMs, live migration between nodes, multi-interface networking for a network operating system, and the platform differences you encounter when moving a workload from VMware into KubeVirt. Finally, you will use Headlamp to perform actions in a more "Enterprise-like" webUI solution for KubeVirt.
