VMware Cloud Foundation: vRealize Suite Cloud Operations Model

This lab introduces the consumption of a VCF-based VMware Cloud using vRealize Cloud Assembly. Customers can use Cloud Assembly to connect to their public and private clouds so that they can deploy machines, applications and services that you create to those resources the same, no matter the destination. You will learn about cloud templates-as-code in an environment that can support an iterative workflow, from development to testing to production. At provisioning time, you can deploy across a range of cloud vendors. This lab will let you complete those activities in an isolated environment that simulates a full VMware private cloud offering based on VCF.

The lab consists of two main modules that cover the following:

• Deploying applications to a pre-existing NSX Network
• Deploying applications to an on-demand NSX Network

• Create NSX Segments with DHCP services, and connect to OC-T1 Tier-1 router
• Create Cloud Assembly Network Profile for OC-DB-Auto-Seg
• Create Cloud Assembly Network Profile for OC-Web-Auto-Seg
• Review vRealize Cloud Template
• Deploy OpenCart from Cloud Template
• Review Deployed Application
• Delete Deployed Application
