VMware Workspace One - Drop Ship Provisioning (offline) Lab

VMware Workspace ONE delivers the foundation of the modern Digital Workspace, simply and securely delivering and managing any app, on any device, from anywhere. Access control, application management and unified device management are integrated together to provide a holistic platform for empowering user productivity while maintaining enterprise security regardless of application, location or device type. 

With Workspace ONE Drop Ship Provisioning, you configure the system in the Workspace ONE UEM console.  Once exported this PPKG file can be used by your imaging group or by a manufacturer to build your devices with the profiles, apps, and device login method of your choosing. This process results in your device user receiving a device that is current with your business's approved settings, apps, and resources completely configured. All the user has to do is login with their corporate credentials.

This lab provides an overview of Workspace ONE UEM Stage Enrollment, sometimes referred to as Drop Shipping.

In this lab you will gain experience with the following:

• Creating an encrypted PPKG file using Workspace One UEM
• Attaching the PPKG file to a new install of windows 10
• Configuring a windows 10 machine using a staging account
• Finalizing the windows 10 configuration using an end user account
• Verifying the configuration of the windows 10 machine and it's enrollment into Workspace One UEM

• Cloud-hosted VMware Workspace ONE UEM Tenant
• Client Windows VM hosted in the WWT ATC
