Recognized for migrating federal clients to Windows 10

St. Louis, MO – August 30, 2017– World Wide Technology(WWT), a leading integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions to large public and private organizations, today announced that it has been recognized by Microsoft with its "FY17 U.S. Top Windows 10 Deployment Partner, Public Sector" award. WWT was honored for its outstanding achievement in promoting and migrating federal enterprise clients to the Windows 10 platform. The award was handed out during Microsoft Inspire in Washington, D.C. as part of the Microsoft, U.S. Windows and Devices 2017 Partner of the Year Awards.

"Federal security mandates are forcing government agencies to meet a particularly tight deadline to migrate to Windows 10," said Wendell Layne, Microsoft Practice Lead of WWT. "Migration speed and stability are paramount to them. Together with our strategic partners, we are helping clients from all sectors of government confidently make that platform jump with minimal downtime and disruption. Being recognized by Microsoft as a top deployment partner is a testament not only to the immense headway we've made with Windows 10, but also to the mass popularity the platform is having with government clients."

As illustrated in this video testimonial, WWT is actively migrating 220,000 computers for a federal healthcare organization. For this migration, WWT is employing CPMigrator®, a fully portable, enterprise-class software solution WWT custom-built to accelerate the adoption of systems and devices running modern Windows. CPMigrator can successfully migrate user profiles, data, personalization settings and more to Windows 10, meeting the compliance standards put forth by the NSA and U.S. Cyber Command. By automating complex tasks, such as MBR to GPT conversions and the installation of above baseline applications, CPMigrator eliminates hours off the migration time per device, completing it in the typical span of a long lunch.

WWT customers also have the unique advantage of leveraging the full resources and technologies available through WWT's Advanced Technology Center(ATC) and North American Integration Center in St. Louis when doing a Windows migration. The ATC represents the pinnacle for validating IT innovation in a safe testing environment that meets federal security requirements. Here they can run CPMigrator, see if it meets their needs, and pick the most optimal migration path for them. The Integration Center allows customers to then deploy Windows to new devices at scale with no downtime on current business operations.

"Congratulations to WWT on being awarded the 2017 U.S. Windows and Devices Deployment Partner of the Year for Public Sector. Microsoft relies on innovative partners, like WWT, to drive Windows 10 value, deployment and adoption in all our customer accounts," said Margaret Arakawa, General Manager, U.S. Windows & Devices at Microsoft Corp.

WWT is a Microsoft Gold partner and has been a proud Microsoft National Solution Provider and Authorized Device Reseller since 2014. In addition to Windows migration, WWT is delivering Microsoft innovations in public/hybrid cloud, security, and digital workplaces to enterprise clients across all industries.
