Learn about the Siemens OT hardware and software landscape. From a hardware perspective, we will discuss both the S7-1200 and the S7-1500 hardware families. The hardware section of this course will focus on PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) as well as RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) hardware. From a software perspective, we will primarily focus on Siemens TIA Portal, which is the development environment use to program the previously discussed hardware. Finally, we will explore PLC concepts from the perspective of the S7-1500. This will focus on connecting PLC hardware to real world use cases.
