ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - This year's Thanks4Giving campaign aims to boost the St. Louis Area Foodbank, and Ameren is matching donations up to $300,000 through Nov. 30. According to the food bank, one in seven people in the region, including one in five children, are food insecure.
World Wide Technology employees pack meals
World Wide Technology employees took time away from emails and other work duties to pack meals for the food bank as food prices continue to rise. In under an hour, the group packed more than 1,200 meals to be distributed by the food bank.
"You get to come in, you get to make a difference, and you get to receive real impact for what you're doing and know that that is going to benefit our neighbors," said Erica Kinkead, St. Louis Area Foodbank director of marketing and communications.
