With new hire, World Wide Technology aims to bolster its diversity and inclusion efforts

World Wide Technology (WWT) recently made a hire for a new role to augment the company's diversity and inclusion team.

WWT, which provides technology products and services for large businesses, hired Shannon Lassen as its diversity and inclusion manager. Lassen's hiring at WWT comes after the Maryland Heights-based company in September named existing executive Bob Ferrell to the position of vice president of diversity and inclusion.

In her new role, Lassen said she will focus on building out WWT's ongoing diversity and inclusion efforts, ensuring they become a long-term component of the company.

WWT has "always promoted embracing change, embracing diversity of people and thought. Now it's just being more formalized with intention," she said.
