SINGAPORE – February 10, 2020 – World Wide Technology (WWT), a market-leading technology solution provider, today announced the appointment of Jason Brouwers as its Head of Asia Pacific (APAC) effective 2 February, 2020.

Based in Singapore, Brouwers will report to Leo Makhlin, Vice President, Global Accounts, WWT. Brouwer’s main responsibilities include driving business transformation through providing innovative technology products, services and solutions for leading enterprises in the region and globally.

“The APAC region is a key growth engine for WWT because of the limitless opportunities it offers. With his deep expertise and solid track record, I firmly believe Jason is the best candidate to lead our fast-growing APAC operations,” said Jim Kavanaugh, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, WWT. “I welcome Jason to the WWT family and look forward to working closely with him to bring our APAC business to even greater heights.”

Brouwers brings with him over two decades of experience with Cisco in Australia, where he most recently served as Managing Director, Commercial Line of Business. Prior to that, he led the partner organisation in Cisco for Australia/New Zealand and has held many enterprise sales and sales leadership roles.

“It is a very exciting time for the APAC region because of the rapid rate that it is digitalising. As industries evolve and new technologies emerge, businesses will need continuous support to obtain a clear understanding of the exact solutions and IT environment they need to win in our digital economy,” said Brouwers. “I’m excited to begin my journey with WWT being fully aware of the great value customers have been receiving from the Advanced Technology Centre and two Asia Integration Centres.”

Brouwers succeeds Nilesh Mistry who joined WWT in August 2015 and played an instrumental role in establishing WWT’s presence in APAC. Under Nilesh’s leadership, WWT’s APAC business quadrupled and saw the opening of two Asia Integration Centres in Singapore and Mumbai, India. Other notable achievements include WWT APAC being recognised as a Great Place to Work® and Great Place to Learn™ for its first time in 2019.
