World Wide Technology (WWT) extends congratulations to strategic partner Jersey Mike's for ranking #7 on Entrepreneur Magazine's Franchise 500 list for 2021.

Jersey Mike's 2020 success was attributed to the marketing savvy of CEO Peter Cancro and the company's investment in a customer-centric app that has streamlined online ordering and customer engagement. The latter investment was especially vital when Jersey Mike's saw business drop by 45 percent in March 2020 at the onset of the pandemic in the U.S.

Yet Jersey Mike's ability to deliver digital experiences that meet the high expectations of its customer base during the pandemic was no accident. Because they keenly understood their customers' needs and saw how the right technology could impact their experience, Jersey Mike's had reached out to WWT.

In late 2018, WWT announced a partnership with Jersey Mike's to bring digital transformation to more than 1,500 stores across the U.S. However, no one could have anticipated that two years later the seamless digital experiences developed by our partnership would become so central to Jersey Mike's success.

WWT will continue our work with Jersey Mike's to keep introducing customer and employee experience enhancements across the franchise. All of our planned tech upgrades will be designed to meet the needs of Jersey Mike's digital native customers, who value being rewarded for purchases and who expect frictionless, faster speed of service and anytime/anywhere ordering. In addition, WWT is excited to see what else we can produce for Jersey Mike's loyal customer base as we continue to explore the future of the QSR industry together.

Congrats on making it to #7 on the Franchise 500 list, Jersey Mike's.
