WWT welcomed Area 1 Chairman Dave Wooley from Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) on Fri., Jan. 6, 2017. Wooley was on campus to present WWT's Program Management Director Jason Daniels with the Patriot Award.

The Patriot Award recognizes the efforts made by an employer to support military personnel through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families and granting leaves of absence if needed.

Daniels was recommended for the award by his direct report Jordan Milo, who shared some very kind words about his supervisor in his recommendation letter.

Wooley presented Daniels with the Patriot Award amongst his peers during a monthly division meeting at WWT HQ in St. Louis. During the presentation, Wooley recounted excerpts from Milo's recommendation letter and commented on the culture WWT embodies.

Daniels received a plaque and pin for his support and expressed his admiration of Milo's service to the country and WWT

Milo is currently on leave for 19 weeks deepening his knowledge in military mobility, but expressed that his goal for 2017 is for more supervisors at WWT to be recognized for their support through the Patriot Award and to recommend the organization as a whole for the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to employers.
