Great Place to Work® and Fortune Name World Wide Technology One of the Best Workplaces in the Bay Area
Consulting firm Great Place to Work and Fortune have named our organization one of the Bay Area’s best workplaces.
ST. LOUIS - April 26, 2017 - World Wide Technology (WWT), a leading integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions to large public and private organizations, is proud to announce research and consulting firm Great Place to Work and Fortune have named our organization one of the Bay Area’s best workplaces.
WWT came in No. 23 on the list of large employers. The rankings considered surveys from more than 220,000 co-workers who assessed their organizations’ fairness, management, camaraderie and other factors crucial to a high-performance workplace.
“Our vision is to be the best IT solution provider in the world, so being named one of the best places to work in the mecca of the tech industry shows that we are attracting the best and brightest minds in the nation,” said Ann Marr, Vice President of Human Resources for WWT. “Our people-first policy has led to a culture of innovation, collaboration, volunteerism and reward that also manifests in how we work with enterprise clients to solve their IT problems. This is evident in our ideation workshops where we brainstorm solutions in partnership with clients from conception all the way to execution.”
At the top quartile of surveyed organizations, employees were more likely than those at peer companies to say:
- Managers involve people in decisions
- Promotions go to those who best deserve them
- They receive a fair share of their organizations’ profits.
“The Best Workplaces in the Bay Area offer more great examples of why our region has earned its reputation for innovation, not only in the products created here, but in the smart new ways we do business,” says Tallia Hart, President & CEO of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
The Best Workplaces in the Bay Area is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based on employee feedback from Great Place to Work–Certified™ organizations.
