WWT Selected Amongst 20 Players in the Global Digital Consultancy Space

St. Louis – World Wide Technology (WWT), a market-leading global technology solution provider, today announced its inclusion in Gartner's August 2018 Market Guide for Digital Business Consulting Services. The annual report recognized WWT as one of the 20 Representative Vendors in DBCS across digital strategy, digital customer and employee experience and digital business model transformation.

"WWT finds itself in unique territory of having dual expertise in both core technology modernization as well as digital activation via best-in-class application development," said Matt Sebek, Vice President of Digital, WWT. "These proven execution vehicles empower our digital consulting teams to fundamentally understand how next-generation solutions come together and provide strategic recommendations to our customers that are faster and more pragmatic than those coming from our competitors. We're honored to be recognized in Gartner's 2018 Market Guide, which we believe is due to this unique approach."

The mix of strategy and execution practices have enabled WWT's digital consultancy to move quickly across many next-generation customer and workforce experiences – especially in disrupted markets such as retail, grocery and quick-service restaurants where WWT has helped major brands such as Jersey Mike's, Wegmans and Schnuck Markets, Inc. (Schnucks) create new business models and marketplace differentiation.

For instance, WWT recently partnered with Jersey Mike's Subs, the fastest-growing sandwich chain in the United States, to develop a new digital experience for its customers, franchise owners and employees in 2019. The partnership brings digital transformation to more than 1,500 stores and cuts across application development, loyalty platforms, point of sale devices and in-store digital signage. WWT's expertise across physical infrastructure and digital experiences provides speed, resiliency and brand consistency.

The same can be seen in WWT's multi-year partnership with grocery/pharmacy retailer Schnucks through the development, launch and ongoing expansion of the Schnucks Rewards app. Designed to create a more rewarding and frictionless experience for customers, it became the No. 1 trending app in its opening weeks and marked a successful first milestone for Schnucks' digital transformation journey.

As many brands and businesses have evolved their customer experience, WWT has also seen significant growth consulting with organizations on their changing workforce and employee experiences. Workforce shifts such as the proliferation of mobile devices, remote workers, increased team collaboration and the move to both digital and physical workspaces has created new challenges for businesses to address as they fight for the best talent and provide a simple experience for their users to do their jobs. WWT's approach looks at addressing these business factors and making sure simplicity as well as security are considered.

Gartner recommends that CIOs use the Market Guide to "evaluate and select providers best aligned to their digital ambition" and defines DBCS as "consulting services that help organizations navigate the opportunities and threats presented by the shift to digital business."
