WWT and AMD help organizations modernize compute for the data center, cloud and AI
Whether organizations are looking to upgrade their data center, optimize the cloud or accelerate with AI workloads, AMD EPYC Server CPUs can help them unlock high performance, energy efficiency and lower TCO. AMD EPYC processors power many of the world's largest data centers, hyperscale clouds and supercomputers. They pair high core density and x86 compatibility with strong energy efficiency, so teams can consolidate aging servers, run more workloads per rack and make room for AI without rewriting applications.
WWT and AMD work together to turn that silicon into validated, deployable infrastructure. WWT architects test AMD EPYC-based platforms from leading OEMs in WWT's Advanced Technology Center (ATC), size them against organizations real workloads and help enterprises move from evaluation to production with confidence.
The AMD EPYC portfolio
Pick the AMD EPYC generation and family that fits your workload, power envelope and application qualification requirements.
The AMD EPYC 9006 Series, codenamed "Venice," is AMD's sixth-generation EPYC server processor family, built on a 2nm process node with Zen 6 architecture. Spanning two platforms — SP7 for cloud, HPC, and AI host nodes, and SP8 for general enterprise, virtualization and telco workloads — the lineup scales from 8-core entry models up to a 256-core, 512-thread flagship, supporting PCIe Gen 6 for doubled I/O bandwidth and CXL 3.1 for cost-effective memory expansion. It also offers 16-channel DDR5 support, including MRDIMMs up to 12,800 MT/s, for as much as 1.6 TB/s of per-socket memory bandwidth on SP7.
AMD EPYC 9005 server CPUs deliver exceptional performance while enabling leadership energy efficiency and cost-of-ownership (TCO) value in support of key business imperatives.
Built for AI, cloud and business-critical workloads, with up to 192 cores, 384 threads and 5 GHz max boost. Use it to free up space and power, run inference directly on the CPU or improve utilization of GPU-accelerated systems.
The AMD EPYC 9004 Server CPU can help power enterprise workloads for high performance, energy efficiency and seamless x86 compatibility across on-premises and cloud-native deployments. Minimize your TCO while maximizing results across a wide range of workloads.
AMD EPYC 7003 Series Processors have set a standard for performance and efficiency for mainstream data center servers. Customers that have done extensive application qualification on DDR4/PCIe®4 generation systems and seek performant, cost-effective solutions to data center challenges, can find tremendous value with AMD EPYC 7003 processor-based servers.
Built into every AMD EPYC processor
Four architectural foundations shape how EPYC performs across virtualization, database, cloud and AI workloads:
The Zen core architecture foundation delivers chiplet design with simultaneous multithreading (SMT) and Infinity Fabric for high core and thread density, bandwidth and low latency.
What it delivers: Up to 12 memory channels for flexible population strategies that balance performance, capacity and cost.
What it delivers: AMD Infinity Guard, including Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV), helps protect data and workloads in use with encrypted virtual machines.
What it delivers: Real-time, adaptive Infinity power management helps meet cooling and cost targets while keeping SLAs consistent.
