I’m a CISSP-certified Technical Solutions Architect on WWT’s Global Cyber team. I started my IT career in the mid-1990s and have worked in cybersecurity since 2013, beginning in identity and access management at Cerner and moving into incident response and forensics on its CSIRT. From there I went to Exabeam and Arctic Wolf, helping enterprises adopt SIEM, UEBA, SOAR, and managed detection and response, before joining WWT in 2023. Today I help organizations modernize SecOps, from NGSIEM and EDR/XDR to insider threat detection and AI-driven SOC transformation. I authored the Secure AI Operations domain of WWT’s AI Readiness Model for Operational Resilience (ARMOR), a practical framework for securing AI and high-performance computing environments, published as Secure AI Operations: Ensuring Integrated NVIDIA AI Security at Scale. I also write on the topics I work on every day, including SIEM Overload to Smart Security: The Power of Data Pipeline and Modern Storage, Navigating the SIEM Journey: Insights, Challenges and the Future, and Beyond Alerts: The Next Generation of Managed Detection and Response.
