I lead World Wide Technology’s Global Cyber Field CTO organization and our App, API, AI & Cloud Security team. That’s about 20 architects and engineers who help customers secure the applications, APIs, cloud workloads and AI systems their business runs on. My focus is on what attackers are doing now, especially autonomous and AI-accelerated threats, and on what defenders can actually do about it. I spend part of every week hands-on: doing threat research, briefing customers, and speaking at industry events. The rest goes to building the team and working with our OEM partners to turn new technology into solutions customers can trust. Much of my customer work is with financial services firms and with federal and defense industrial base organizations. Before WWT, I was VP of Cybersecurity & AI at Lumen Technologies, where I led Black Lotus Security Group, Lumen’s threat research team. Earlier I led product, services, and InfoSec organizations roles at Cisco. I’m based in Chapel Hill, NC
